Fighting Disease with Technology

We’re pioneering the use of infrared and ultrasound to safely and effectively treat the world’s most devastating diseases.

How it works

Picture an opera singer shattering a wine glass.

Our approach is similar:  We manipulate the phase of infrared light, ultrasound, and electromagnetic waves to enable potential diagnosis and treatment of  diseases through
manipulation or destruction of cells  individually without harming surrounding tissue.

Early results on cancer, depression, stroke, and more:

Cancer

We have selectively killed aggressive cancer cells without harming healthy tissue*

*as demonstrated in mice studies.

Mental Illness

We’ve successfully treated severe depression by targeting misfiring neurons to bring people into remission*

* as demonstrated in a clinical trial of 20 people

Stroke

We’ve achieved record specificity and sensitivity data on detection of LVO stroke with our portable in human studies.*

* as demonstrated with measurements on 151 patients at UPenn and Brown Univ comprensive stroke centers

A revolution in care

Progress at the speed of technology

Our tech-driven approach leverages software, hardware and AI over costly, slow to develop, and imprecise* pharmaceuticals

* that deliver medication to the whole body in lieu of solely the region needing treatment

That means we can iterate at the speed of consumer electronics, making treatment cheaper, better, and more accessible year after year.

Our Goal: Healing without harm

Infrared light and ultrasound have been used safely on billions of people — including fetuses — for a century.

We use them non-invasively to target disease without the side effects of ionizing radiation or pharmaceuticals.

Novel method, new cures

Our approach is a breakthrough.  We have shown we can selectively target diseased cells without harming surrounding tissue in mice. It’s a new method with incredible potential.

This opens the door to treatment for a wide range of currently incurable conditions, including cancer, severe depression, and stroke.

Open source, always

We’re here to save lives.

That’s why we’re open source: to accelerate the innovation and approvals that will drive down costs and get a cure to those who need it as quickly as possible.

Help us accelerate hope

Each trial, test, research paper, and study gets us closer to curing some of the world’s most devastating diseases.
